Call for Presenters

Proposals are currently in review for 75-minute engaging, interactive skill-building and/or knowledge-sharing sessions related to best practices and promising innovations at the program and/or systems-level for the for the following tracks: 

Advancing Equity for Families 

This track will promote diversity, equity, and inclusion to strengthen families and enhance communities. Presenters share experience, expertise, and lessons learned, as well as strategies and approaches that participants can use to disrupt systems of oppression and co-create a more just and equitable future.

Innovative Family Support Practice

This track will feature program or systems-level innovative work with families that is reflective of a multi-generational, strengths-based, family-centered approach. Sessions may focus on areas such as enhancing parenting skills, fostering the healthy development and wellbeing of children, youth, and families, preventing child abuse, increasing school readiness, connecting families to resources, engaging males/fathers, supporting healthy marital/couples relationships, and promoting family economic success.

Parent Leader Integration

This track will highlight intentional and innovative work integrating parent leaders including supporting development, making space, and power sharing at the program or systems-level. Sessions will focus on identifying agency readiness, best engagement practices, and creating and maintaining right relations. Participants will gain insight into unlocking the rich potential of partnership with parents as leaders to strengthen programs and systems, advance equity, and promote well-being for families and communities.


Shaping Policies & Systems to Enhance Community Conditions that Strengthen Families

Families are deeply affected by community conditions, such as public safety and the availability of affordable housing, green space, social connections with neighbors, and schools that provide quality education. This track will focus on addressing these community conditions at the policy and/or systems level to support families to thrive. Sessions may focus on effective community, county, state/province, or national efforts.
